Vanishing nine patch quilt
Playing with 36 10" squares of various colors and patterns selected to harmonize, I created three 9 patch sets. Any arrangement will do, as long as the dark fabrics are in the corners and center of each 9 patch.
The next step is to cut each block in half both vertically and horizontally, creating 4 smaller blocks from each. Then I will play with the 12 resulting blocks, arranging them in 3 columns and 4 rows, to make a small rectangular quilt (about 27"x 36").
